TALKING PEACE WITH MY TALKING PIECE

We help students, educators, and families build lasting change.

  1. Dynamic Assemblies: for middle school, high school, and beyond, we engage students in conversations around fear, resilience, confidence, self-worth, emotional intelligence, empathy, anti-bullying, and more. Not with lectures… but with presence, story, music, and truth that actually sticks.

  2. Talking Peace (Circle Practice): a proven way to disrupt dishonest harmony: that quiet agreement to avoid what actually needs to be said. You know the kind: everyone’s “fine,” resentment is brewing, there’s a meeting after the meeting to complain about the meeting and nothing really changes. Avoiding hard conversations doesn’t keep the peace. It just keeps us stuck… and tired.

  3. Student Leadership Workshops: centered on effective leadership skills, healthy communication, self-discovery, mindset, restoring dysfunctional friendships, and authentic connection.

  4. Family Support and Life Coaching: for parents navigating divorce, co-parenting, raising teenagers, remarriage, and building relationships that are genuinely safe and healthy.

Whether your goal is to strengthen staff culture, deepen classroom connection, or address ongoing conflict, we can build the structure and safety needed for difficult conversations so every voice is heard and moved toward real repair, not performative calm.

True peace takes courage. We help you do the hard work, so it finally works.

Many of us don’t know the people we work with or study with every day. We might know some things about them, but we miss some of the helpful stuff. For instance, we may not know that there’s someone in our group with the strength or talent to solve a problem we’ve been holding for a long time, or we may work together through tasks, but we need to work through some unresolved offenses that are holding us back from our full potential.

Dishonest harmony is what happens when we can’t say what we really need to say. Whether your goal is to establish a connection in your community or manage an ongoing conflict among you, our circle practice will create the space to facilitate difficult conversations so that every voice is heard and brought to true peace.

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING…

Mr. Ramos... was very approachable, funny and honest to the extent that the students were paying attention and felt related to the examples and experiences that he shared with the classes. He is a great speaker and a relatable individual... the students, as well as teachers, greatly benefited from having him in our classes.
— S. Peña, High School Teacher
Thank you for today. In my 20 years of teaching, it was hands down the BEST PD I’ve ever attended.
— M. Hanke, Elementary Teacher
He was animated and created excellent connections with my students. He successfully used wait time, allowing students the opportunity to process information and engage in organic discussions. Jeo knew how to interweave and connect his own personal experiences from childhood in a way that made these deep topics relevant and accessible for the freshmen at my school.
— J. Thomas, High School Teacher
Jeo and Mandy, you are outstanding! You guys were so much fun! What a wonderful experience! I was disappointed when the time was over!
— D. Walker, School Principal
He took the time to ensure that students were not only able to understand the content but also felt heard and respected in the process. His ability to speak both Spanish and English further demonstrated his commitment to making sure every learner could participate and benefit from the conversation.
— A. Akter, ENL High School Teacher
I love that you rapped what you were feeling, I felt connected. I loved the life stories and that you were being honest with us. I liked the lesson on speaking up for yourself.
— Senior Student, NJ High School
Excellent... Mr. Ramos was a great presenter, he kept the students’ attention and I’d love to have him back anytime. The rapping definitely had them engaged, actually from start to end it was engaging.
— K. Carter, High School Counselor
Jeo hit all the corners, he presented the information promptly; it was fun, entertaining and the kids loved it. They learned so much in a creative way! We want him to keep coming back and we recommend that he goes to your school too. A lot of our students need a positive message in a way that they can understand it.
— Counseling Team, NY Middle School
